EDUCATION
Our firm represents and advises administrators, parents and students with various educational concerns and challenges, including individual educational plans.
WILLS
A valid will instructs an executor and the court as to the decedent’s wishes for personal and real property distributions and guardianship provisions for children. Trusts place assets under the management of trustee upon either the creation of the trust or the individual’s death. A trustee has a fiduciary responsibility to manage the assets until the terms and conditions of the trust have been fulfilled. In our Elder Care Practice, trusts are often used to protect assets,. and provide a way to have the best health benefits for a family member. Our firm assists in the planning or the distribution of their property and assets at death, through, the drafting and updating of wills and trusts.
PROBATE AND ESTATE ADMINISTRATION
Our firm assists in all aspect of probate and estate administration. Probate is the legal process by which a person’s debts are paid and assets are distributed upon death. Estate Administration includes the probate process as well as non-probate transfers of the deceased’s assets. Individual state laws direct the probate court how to distribute the deceased’s estate.
REAL ESTATE
Our firm represents residential and commercial clients and individuals in all proceedings and transactions concerning real property, including purchase and sale, construction, mortgages and foreclosures, leases, land use and zoning, title examinations, quiet title actions, and landlord/tenant disputes.
We provide a wide variety of services to our business clients including: preparation and drafting of organizational entity agreements, business agreements, purchase and sale agreements, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, and assisting in dissolution or business succession. We advise clients of the advantages and disadvantages of Corporations, Partnerships, and Limited Liability Companies.

Patricia Blake, P.C. provides services concerning financing multi-family and commercial properties and documenting credit facilities for Middle Market and Small Business Borrowers with a focus on counsel to Banks in connection with general banking and cash management matters, including negotiation of inter creditor agreements, account agreements, and lease transactions. The firm has expertise in all areas of finance including representing lenders in revolving credit and term loan facilities, mortgage transactions (both building and permanent loans), leverage lease financing, ESOP loans, equipment financings and project financings. The firm represents lenders in agented, syndicated and participated credits, and in connection with fee based services such as issuance of letters of credit and interest rate swaps. We are experienced in 1031 exchanges, Industrial Development Agency transactions and U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loans and structuring loan workouts

The firm represents individuals involved in controversies alleging a wrong or damage to another person or property resulting from events or activities such as motor vehicle accidents, defective products, slip and fall accidents, infliction of emotional distress, intentional misconduct, and negligence.
CRIMINAL
The firm defends the rights of individuals and entities accused of criminal offenses and crimes. The firm is particularly focused on representing school age clients.
BANKRUPTCY
The firm represents individuals and entities regarding chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings, at both the state and federal level, that are initiated by either an insolvent individual or by creditors seeking to have the debtor’s remaining assets distributed among the creditors and, thereby, discharging the debtor from further obligation or restructuring and reorganizing the insolvents debt structure.
